Heather Tips - Dried Heather Flowers

Used to flavour beer before the use of hops. Heather Tips impart a pleasing aroma and smooth bitterness. Still used today in a Scottish ale known as Fraoch. The recommended dosage is 2 oz per 5 gallons of beer, added at the beginning of the boil.
