High quality, yet inexpensive American oak chips. These are toasted to a Light Toast. Light toast provides good oak flavor and character. Chips can be charred and then soak in spirits to simulate aging in a previously used oak barrel.
Recommended usage for beer is 1 to 2 oz per 5 gallons. Recommended usage for white wine is 1 to 1.5 cups per 5 gallons. Recommended usage for red wine is 2 to 3 cups per 5 gallons.
