TARDIF DE BOURGOGNE
2.2%-5.5% Aroma

Notes of floral, redberry, green tea, noble, incense, pine, rose, and lavender

Translated into English, Tardif de Bourgogne means Late Burgundy. Similar to Precoce de Bourgogne (Early Burgundy), it is an aroma hop grown in small quantities in the Alsace region of France.

It is said to feature a mild European-style aroma and is thought to have come about via the clonal selection of an old French landrace. Unfortunately, Tardif de Bourgogne is somewhat difficult to find on the open market.

Tardif de Bourgogne is an aroma hop that is typically used in only late boil additions, including dry hopping.

Having top notes of pine, frankincense and rose petals. It is a great alternative for those whose palates are dank and bleary, from the current onslaught of the sweet and heavy. Tardif de Bourgogne is an old school French noble varietal that was commercially successful in lager beers prior to the introduction of the popular French Strisselspalt. It’s name loosely translates to “late harvest of burgundy.”
